Tingkhong Model Academy Alumni Association is a non profit making/non governmental society of all the alumni of Tingkhong Model Academy, Tingkhong, Dibrugarh, Assam. Tingkhong Model Academy was established in 15 march, 1993.

Mission:

a. To promote and encourage friendly relations among the members of the Association.

b. To award Scholarship and Aid to the needy students of the school.

c. To provide assistance and facilities for all round development of school.

d. To keep Alumni informed about the association.

e. To organize alumni day once in a year.

f.  To provide & promote career guidance, placement scope and continuing education.

g. To extend helping hand to needy alumni/ alumni families (direct dependents)

h. To promote participation of the members of the Association in resource development and social welfare activities as appropriate for an organization of this type.

MEMORANDUM

1.    NAME OF THE SOCIETY:

The name of the society shall be “TINGKHONG MODEL ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION” and shall be referred to as the Association in these articles.

2. ADDRESS:

3. JURISDICTION:

The jurisdiction of the Association shall be all over India, but any dispute/Case/ Suit shall be instituted and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts in Dibrugarh only.

4. OBJECTIVES:

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Name of the Society:

The name of the society shall be “TINGKHONG MODEL ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION” and shall be referred to as the Association in these articles.

2. Address:

TINGKHONG MODEL ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Tingkhong Model Academy, Tingkhong, Dibrugarh– 786 612, Assam, India.

3. Jurisdiction:

The jurisdiction of the Association shall be all over India, but any dispute/Case/ Suit shall be instituted and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts in Dibrugarh only.

4. Membership:

All Alumni of Tingkhong Model School (henceforth abbreviated as TMAAA) shall be eligible for Life Membership of the Association. All the registered members will enjoy voting rights.

5. Cessation of Membership:

                                    I.            A member of the association shall cease to be such a member if he/she resigns from his/her membership or is found to be of unsound mind or is convicted by a court for any offence on moral grounds or termination of the membership by the Executive Committee for compelling reasons.

                       II.        If a member of the Executive Committee continuously remains absent in three consecutive EC meetings without any intimation, he/she shall cease his/her membership from the EC.

                             III.            If a member of the association re-new his/her membership for three consecutive years, then also he/she shall cease his/her membership.

6. Organisation of the association:

6.1 General Body.

There shall be general body of the Association consisting of all members.

6.2 Executive Body

There shall be an Executive Committee to manage affairs of the association.

6.3 Advisory Body

There shall be an advisory body comprises of the principal, managing committee member and senior teachers of Tingkhong Model Academy. This body will act as a legal advisor of the society and form in due interest of the executive committee.

6.4 Local Chapters

i) There may be local chapters of the Association in India and abroad.

ii) The relationship with local chapter will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Association.

7. Executive committee:

The Executive Committee shall consist of

i)                  President 1

ii)               Working President 1

iii)            Vice-President 1

iv)            Secretary 1

v)               Treasurer 1

vi)            Joint Secretary 2

vii)          Member 11

8. Amendment of rules and regulations:

·       Amendment to the rules and regulations shall be carried out only by a General Body meeting when minimum of three fifth of the majority votes of the members present in the meeting.

·       The proposed amendment to the rules and regulations shall be circulated to all the members as an agenda item for the General Body Meeting.

9. Finance and accounts:

The Association shall raise funds for pursuing the objectives of the Association through;

i)                  Subscription from the members. The rates of subscription shall be governed by the executive committee of the Association.

ii)               Money donated by the members.

iii)            Any other source approved by the Executive Committee.

iv)            The accounts of the Association shall be maintained in any scheduled bank in Dibrugarh in to which all subscription, donations and other income shall be credited.

v)               Financial year of the Association shall be from April 1 to March 31.

10. Records of the Association

10.1 The following Records shall be maintained in the Office of the

Association:

a.     Roll of Membership

b.    Minutes of the EC Meetings

c.     Minutes of the General Body Meetings

d.    Stock register of non-consumable and consumable items

e.     Cash Book and Ledger

f.      Copies of all publications and Reports of the Association.

10.2 The Records shall include details of all sums of money received and the sources thereof, all the sums of money spent.

10.3 Every member of the General Body shall have the right of inspection of the records of the Association during office hours.

10.4 Some of the disposable records as decided by the EC may be disposed-off / destroyed.

11. Winding up of the society:

The winding up of the Association shall be carried out as per relevant clauses of Societies Registration Act and on the interest of the school managing committee only with support of executive committee of the society.
